My Story
Hi, I'm Oliver Wade, a 15 year old currently studying at Richard Lander School in Truro, Cornwall.
From a very young age, bikes have always had a significant impact on my life, whether that was racing my friends around the road next to my house or comparing who can do the longest skid! However, now, I have upped my level of cycling and now race competitively & time trial at a national level. Despite cycling being a difficult sport in itself, I have taken the challenge of completing an Everesting on my bike on the 24th October 2021. The concept of Everesting sounds simple: picking a hill and riding up and down it until you reach the height of Mount Everest- 8,848 meters. I can assure you the challenge is not that easy!
Being passionate about bikes, World Bicycle Relief is the perfect charity for me to fundraise for & I firmly believe that bikes have the ability to change lives for the better. I admire the work World Bicycle Relief do & want to contribute to their life changing actions.
