  • About

Velo Culture began in a spare bedroom in Gateshead in 2014 in an attempt to deal with the inner tube waste that cycling creates.

Very few inner tubes are recycled with most going to landfill so the original Cake Stop Caddy and Penny Pincher were the first designs to help to combat this and are still bestsellers today.

In 2018 owner and founder Bev Martin decided it was time to give something back to the cycling world by donating a portion of every product sold to a charity, World Bicycle Relief was the perfect choice.

The work that they do embodies how life changing the bicycle, which many of us take for granted, can be. Their Buffalo Bikes ,which cost £120, are designed for long distances and to carry heavy loads. They open up a world of opportunity for people in developing countries, allowing independence, education and livelihoods to be built, showing just how powerful the humble bicycle really is.
